I haven’t had a chance to thank anyone, yet..

Well, I just want to say; thank you for all your KIND and HONEST comments. I appreciate all comments even those of you that disagree with some of my thoughts..I enjoy reading different views…

I started this blog, well, basically because of the mess my life was in, I’m glad I have somewhere to pour out my thoughts, I never thought anyone would actually read what I wrote! lol.. but anyway…….

UK’s New Super Sub

So, the Royal Nacy commanders believe their new attack submarine, HMS Astute, will make Britain ‘the Manchester united of submarine nations’. Eat this, America.

The Astute cost £1.2bn and took 40 months to build. It is jet-black and is 12 storeys high, 100 metres long and 10 metres wide. It weights 7,675 tons, as much as 65 blue whales.

Brtiains first stealthsub is so quiet it makes less noise in the water than a baby dolphin – now that’s pretty cool..

The navy has ordered four Astute Class subs. HMS Astute is the first and will begin sea trials next month – HMS Ambush, Artful and Audacious will follow.. just me, or are these names absolutely ridiculous???

Anyway, the article I read goes on and on about how good this new sub is, but, the main downfall, it can only hold 98 men!

On the upside, it can operate for 25 years with running out of fuel, thanks to the power output of its nuclear reactor.
