If a person with a terminal illness is suffering unbearable pain and wishes to end his or her life, is it wrong to help?

Well, that’s why euthanasia, the intentional termination of life at the explicit request of that person, has been a hotly debated and controversial subject. Is it right or wrong? Moral or immoral? Murder or mercy?

What are your thoughts?

I mean I can see both sides; god gave us life not to end it…… however, did God intend for people to suffer???

Benign Intracranial Hypertension

Nearly two years ago I was diagnosed with Benign Intracranial Hypertension/Pseudocerebri Tumour.

Basically it is fluid on the brain that affects the optic nerves. Thankfully, I’ve been lucky and have only had to have three spinal taps.

I also suffer from Myalgic Encephalitis and have done so since the age of 13. Fortunately I don’t have any serious problems and I cope quite well.

Catholic Priest asking people to boycott their MP’s.

A catholic priest in England is asking people to boycott their MP’s if they support Abortion.

This is a much debated topic.

Personally, I agree with Abortion. I know that if it came down to it tho, I couldn’t myself ever have one, unless my child was to have severe disabilities, and by that I mean, a complete vegetated state.

I think this priest is wrong, I know the Catholic church and many religions don’t believe in abortion but this is a woman’s own decision.

A new pill to help people stop smoking?

Draft approval has been given for a drug, in tablet form, to stop the craving for cigarettes?

Will this work? It has been suggested that this will be available on the NHS free.

I’m quite interested in this, as a smoke, I’d be quite willing to be a guinea pig and try this..

I have cut down to one cigarette a day, hopefully, within the next month, I will have stopped completely.

Some of these kids also visit illicit sites….

Alot of parents have no idea what their children are doing on the net….

Do parents have full knowledge of what their kids are doing ?? Or are too many parents computer illiterate??

So, recently I told you about my friend and this guy..

So, after months of ‘socialising’ with this guy, he tells her ‘he isn’t interested’.

They have cut all contact and to be honest, she isn’t coping the best! She feels like a whole part of her has vanished. I’ve returned to Ireland thinking it might help, me being there for her, might make her feel better, but it has infact only made her worse. Because, before she had no one to talk to about him, and now all she is does is exactly that and to me!

Talk about him……………… non stop.
She feels that he was her soulmate, and she feels that deep down he feels the same way..

So why can some men not stand up and say how they feel? Without tip toeing around the fact that they are also in love?

Why are men like this? Why were they genetically made this way?

I can honestly say, I know very few men who can come out and say how they feel!

So, we are heading out Saturday night, either to find her a new man, or…. to resolve the old love..

I’m really hoping that they do work things out, because they are very much in love, even an outsider can see that..

Do Dreams Really Come True?

I’m interested to know if a dream you have had has come true or anything remotely similar to the dream has happened in your life?

Recently I had a rather strange dream, everything seems to be piecing together exactly like the dream..

It happens me a lot, mostly silly small things, but they do come true?

Why do we dream and what exactly do they mean? Is it our subconcious mind working overtime??

I know if we tend to be worried about something we will dream of something related to that problem, well, I do anyway.. let me hear your thoughts..

Big Brother is Baaaaaaack!

This time round, the house is all about fun and frolics! Or so we keep hearing!!

Hurrah! Big Brother 8 is almost apon us!! The countdown is on! I’m going to be clued to the TV again starting from 8.30pm tonight!

It seems the house is radicall different from previous years, and the housemates will soon discover nothing is where it should be!

A giant roll-top bath takes centre stage in the pink living room, while the fridge/freezer is in the garden. Even stranger, there doesn’t seem to be an oven, and the kettle and toaster are locked away in a perspex box!

So…..is there a kitchen????

UK’s New Super Sub

So, the Royal Nacy commanders believe their new attack submarine, HMS Astute, will make Britain ‘the Manchester united of submarine nations’. Eat this, America.

The Astute cost £1.2bn and took 40 months to build. It is jet-black and is 12 storeys high, 100 metres long and 10 metres wide. It weights 7,675 tons, as much as 65 blue whales.

Brtiains first stealthsub is so quiet it makes less noise in the water than a baby dolphin – now that’s pretty cool..

The navy has ordered four Astute Class subs. HMS Astute is the first and will begin sea trials next month – HMS Ambush, Artful and Audacious will follow.. just me, or are these names absolutely ridiculous???

I know people joke about the fact that it is green but honestly you don’t realise it when you live here! being away for the best part of a year all in has made me appreicate this beautiful country much much more! Home tomorro!

So, I’m feeling much better today.

Woke up this morning, headed to ‘my place of worship’ – aka, the beach.. came back to my place and took a swim.

I never realized how therapeutic swimming was. It’s fab!

Anyway, I leave the Middle East tomorro, good or bad? I dunno, but what I do know is I can’t wait to get back to Ireland to see my family and friends.

What am I leaving behind that I came here with?

My ex for a start…….

Perhaps also my heart – altho it is with someone else in a whole other continent! my mind? I think I lost some brain cells along the way? junk? stuff that I no longer need – I guess I should really get packing tho.

Losing Faith

Ok, this is all gonna sound like the ramblings of a mad woman.. but I need to get this all out or I’m heading for a nervous breakdown….really!

Before my grandfather died I attended church regularly and was a devout Chrisitan. After my grandfather developed cancer I lost complete faith in the church. How could this man who had raised me like a father been suffering so much? He never had a cigarette in his life, he enjoyed the odd pint but enough to make him develop cancer?

Yet, once again due to circumstances out of my control – I have yet again been tested. My faith has been tested. And right now I think God sucks. I think he gives people joy and then takes it away from them and laughs about it….sound pathetic? Yeah I know if does, but how can you give someone the best week of her life and then within a month change it all to mean absolutely fucking nothing!?

Enough bullshit about – you make your own choices in life. We don’t , God has a plan for all of us, I believe that, but does he have to be so god damn friggin cruel? I don’t think I can take anymore of his life tests.

I just want an easy life. . . enough of this testing me shite. I’ve been through enough in my years. I think since the age of 3 I’ve had one good year. I’ve never met anyone who can truly make me feel happy until this one person and yet again , they have been taken away from me……..

Here’s what I think of life – it truly fucking sucks!

And yeah I feel like shit today.
